Mother's Day Take 4
Today I celebrated my fourth Mother's Day with my baby doll, Andrew! I squeezed in under the wire in May 2006 due to Andrew's early arrival by 4 weeks:)
Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful moms out there.....especially mine!
I know today is for celebrating mothers, but really I'm the lucky one to have this sweet boy <3

Happy 3rd Birthday Andrew!!
Dear Andrew
Today you are 3 years old! I find it hard to believe how quickly time has passed. You have kept our family full of smiles, laughs and love since your arrival on May 6, 2006. We are so lucky to have you as our sweet boy. You are full of energy, extremely smart and fun-loving. You are learning more and changing everyday. Here are some things about you that I want to remember:
- you are an exceptional talker and are heard before you are seen
- you ask a ton of questions!
- you know and recognize all of your letters
- you know a lot of opposites
- trucks and tractors rock your world (favorites include excavators, mixers, 18
wheelers, dump trucks, bulldozers, skid steers, forklifts and flatbeds)
- we go for drives several times a week to see all of these vehicles mentioned!
- your grandparents think you are so great and you reciprocate the feeling
- Grandma's chocolate chip cookies are your favorite snack
- you have a slight obsession with Pepsi (though you don't get to drink more
than a sip for a treat......mean mommy!)
- you love to sing yourself to sleep......favorites are I's the Bye (3 verses), The Wheels On The Bus, Old MacDonald/Old MacTucker, The Farmer In The Dell,
The Grand Old Duke of York, The 3 Little Kittens, The Ponies)
- you love to play outside digging dirt in the flower beds & boxes, raking
leaves and shoveling snow
- you love to use with the grown-up version of anything (utensils, glasses,
cameras, etc.) You call them "sharp" ie. the sharp camera means the real
camera; not a toy:)
- you love to shop at Winners, Walmart, Michael's and Home Depot
- you're getting better eating at restaurants and love Swiss Chalet and
McDonald's
- we get together with buddies Tyler, Jesse, Jaime and Lily to play
- you have the best babysitter in the world "Nennie"
- you are in a children's program at the library on Wednesday mornings with Tara
the librarian
- you have become a fantastic little skater this winter going to C-200 on
Mondays, the County Arena on Wednesdays and Centennial Arena on Fridays
- You love to watch DVDs or real construction sites and a few shows such as
Chuggington, SuperWhy, Curious George
We are looking forward to what this next year has to bring!
